“അല്ലാഹുവേ! എല്ലാ സ്തുതികളും നിനക്കാണ്, നീയാണ് ആകാശങ്ങളുടെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും അവയിലുള്ളവയുടെയും ഉടമ. എല്ലാ സ്തുതികളും നിനക്കാണ്; ആകാശങ്ങളുടെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും അവയിലുള്ളതിൻറെയും അവകാശം നിങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ട്. എല്ലാ സ്തുതികളും നിനക്കാണ്; നീ ആകാശത്തിൻ്റെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും പ്രകാശമാണ്, എല്ലാ സ്തുതികളും നിനക്കാണ്; നീ ആകാശത്തിൻ്റെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും രാജാവാണ്; എല്ലാ സ്തുതികളും നിനക്കാണ്; നിങ്ങളാണ് സത്യം, നിങ്ങളുടെ വാഗ്ദത്തം സത്യമാണ്, നിങ്ങളെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടുന്നത് സത്യമാണ്, നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്ക് സത്യമാണ്, പറുദീസ സത്യമാണ്, നരകം സത്യമാണ്, എല്ലാ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും (സ) സത്യമാണ്; മുഹമ്മദ് സത്യമാണ്, ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽപിൻറെ നാളും സത്യമാണ്. അല്ലാഹുവേ! ഞാൻ (എൻ്റെ ഇഷ്ടം) നിനക്കു സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും നിന്നെ ആശ്രയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. നിന്നിലേക്ക് പശ്ചാത്തപിക്കുകയും, നിൻ്റെ സഹായത്താൽ (എൻ്റെ എതിരാളികളോടും, അവിശ്വാസികളോടും) ഞാൻ തർക്കിക്കുകയും, (ഞങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ വിധിക്കാൻ) നിന്നെ ഞാൻ ന്യായാധിപനായി സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. എൻ്റെ മുൻ പാപങ്ങളും ഭാവി പാപങ്ങളും എന്നോട് ക്ഷമിക്കൂ. ഞാൻ മറച്ചുവെച്ചതോ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയതോ ആയത് നീയാണ് (ചില ആളുകളെ) മുന്നോട്ടും (ചിലരെ) പിന്നോട്ടും ആക്കുന്നത്. നീയല്ലാതെ ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടാൻ ആരുമില്ല.”
When: Typically performed in the last part of the night, often in the last third of the night.
Where: Performed at home or any clean place suitable for prayer.
How Much: There is no fixed number of rak’ahs (units of prayer). It can be as few as two rak’ahs or more, according to one’s ability.
Background
Purpose:
Seeking closeness to Allah: Tahajjud is a time for sincere and intimate communion with Allah.
Seeking forgiveness: It’s an opportunity to seek forgiveness for sins and to repent.
Making supplications: It’s a time to make heartfelt duas for oneself, one’s loved ones, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
Encouragement from the Prophet: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) highly encouraged the performance of Tahajjud. He was known to perform Tahajjud regularly, often waking up in the middle of the night for prayer and supplication.

Sahih al-Bukhari 1145: “Our Lord descends every night to the lowest heaven when one-third of the night remains and says: ‘Who will call upon Me, that I may answer him? Who will ask of Me, that I may give him? Who will seek My forgiveness, that I may forgive him?”
Sahih al-Bukhari 1120: “ O Allah! All the praises are for you, You are the Holder of the Heavens and the Earth, And whatever is in them. All the praises are for You; You have the possession of the Heavens and the Earth And whatever is in them. All the praises are for You; You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth And all the praises are for You; You are the King of the Heavens and the Earth; And all the praises are for You; You are the Truth and Your Promise is the truth, And to meet You is true, Your Word is the truth And Paradise is true And Hell is true And all the Prophets (Peace be upon them) are true; And Muhammad is true, And the Day of Resurrection is true. O Allah ! I surrender (my will) to You; I believe in You and depend on You. And repent to You, And with Your help I argue (with my opponents, the non-believers) And I take You as a judge (to judge between us). Please forgive me my previous And future sins; And whatever I concealed or revealed And You are the One who make (some people) forward And (some) backward. There is none to be worshipped but you”
