1. Dua for Sighting the Moon

Allahumma ahillahu ‘alayna bil-amni wal-iman, was-salamati wal-Islam, wat-tawfiqi lima tuhibbu wa tardha, Rabbuna wa Rabbuka Allah.

(O Allah, let the crescent moon appear above us with security and faith, with safety and Islam, and with success in what You love and are pleased with. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.)

2. Niyyah for Fasting

Wa bisawmi ghadin nawaytu min shahri ramadan.

(I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.)

3. Dua for Breaking Fast (Iftar)

Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu wa ‘ala rizq-ika-aftartu.

(O Allah! I fasted for You, and I believe in You, and I put my trust in You, and with Your sustenance, I break my fast.)

4. Dua for Lailatul Qadr

Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni.

(O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.)

Allahumma ajirni min an-naar.

(O Allah, save me from the Fire.)

Astaghfirullaha rabbi min kulli dhambin wa atubu ilayh.

Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka Antas-Sami’ul-‘Aleem.

Allahumma ihdini wasaddidni.

(O Allah, guide me and make me steadfast.)

9. Dua for Protection from Hellfire

Allahumma inni as’aluka al-jannata wa a’udhu bika min an-naar.

(O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and seek refuge in You from the Fire.)

Allahumma aghfir lahum warhamhum wa ‘afihim wa’fu ‘anhum.

(O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, grant them peace, and pardon them.)

Rabbir hamhuma kama rabbayani sagheera.

Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja’altahu sahlan, wa anta taj’alul hazna idha shi’ta sahlan.

Rabbana afrigh ‘alayna sabran wa tawaffana muslimeen.

Allahumma qanni’ni bima razaqtani, wa barik li fihi.
