رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ
(سورہ آل عمران آیت 38)
“Rabbi habli min ladunka zurriyatan tayyibatan innaka sameeud du’aaa”
Urdu Translation:
“اے میرے رب! مجھے اپنی بارگاہ سے پاکیزہ اولاد عطا فرما، بیشک تو ہی دعا سننے والاہے۔”
When and Where to Recite
When to recite:
This dua can be recited at any time. However, the best times for making dua include:
- After obligatory prayers (Salah).
- During the last third of the night (Tahajjud).
- On Fridays, especially during the last hour before Maghrib.
- During sujood (prostration) in Salah.
Background
- This dua was made by Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him).
- He was elderly and his wife was barren, yet he sincerely prayed to Allah for righteous offspring.
- Allah accepted his dua and blessed him with a son, Prophet Yahya (John, peace be upon him).
- This shows that even in seemingly impossible situations, sincere dua with trust in Allah can bring miraculous results.
